Seems like a bad time to visit SF tbh
Yes. I live in SF. These fires are historic - the #2 and 3 worst in CA history. Everything is locked down, minus outdoor dining. But air is too polluted from the fires to eat safely outside, or take advantage of our awesome outdoor life of hikes, etc.
There's not much you can do right now because of the horrible outdoor air quality due to the wildfires and covid.
If you want places that are open go to pretty much anywhere else.
Alcatraz—to remind you what real quarantine feels like🤣
Seriously—fun day trip...nice ferry ride too
OP - there is nothing worthwhile to do in SF right now. Nothing is open. There are a few restaurants open with outdoor seating, but the air quality is horrid and unsafe. I was just outside for a few minutes to give my dog a potty break, and I can literally taste the smoke. I suppose you could walk around the City, but you won’t get a nice view of the Bay or Golden Gate because the air is thick with smoke and it is literally brown and hazy outside. Parks are closed, the redwoods are on fire, and you cannot hike because the trails are either closed or on fire. Some people are having to EVACUATE their homes. I appreciate your optimism but it’s honestly just not worth it.
This is hilarious that you are even considering this
Yes I am aware of the facts thanks!
Update: I already came and went and was unaffected by the fires. Prayers for those affected by it now.
Thank you. I was worried sick about you.
