Hi fishes,
Why TCS is so rude and self proclaimed kinda. I declined TCS offer last year as they were giving very less CTC. Now I got interviewed again with TCS and cleared all the rounds but they are not reactivating my ibegin portal for document upload since I rejected them last year...in this way u think they will never ever reactivate my profile.

A hiring manager once asked what some of my least favorite aspects of communications were and then proceeded to berate me for not having a passion for communications lol.
I cut the interview short. Told the HM I wasn't feeling it and wished them luck. One of the best decisions I ever made in my 20s.
Not sure that this is unhinged but I once got asked if I was close with my grandfather without anything prompting it, as far as I can remember.
That is a very... random question to ask in an interview...
"If you could be any animal, what would it be and why?" This happened about 5 years ago. I know some interviewers do goofy stuff like this claiming it tests your ability to think on your feet and deal with the unexpected, but it always seems like such a waste of time to me. Do you really need me to justify why being a peregrine falcon would be awesome to know whether or not I'm a good fit?
OMG. This was going to be my answer. And then he berated my answer. He wanted something fierce and aggressive and didn’t like it when I said “my dog because he’s brave and loyal and knows that he is loved unconditionally.”
Many MANY years ago I interviewed at a magazine publishing house for an associate editor job. Very professional environment but about 15 minutes in the hiring manager asked me if I had an issue with “questionable content.”
When I asked why, he put a bunch of hardcore porn magazines on his desk and explained that the actual job was writing the captions.
That’s wild
Not an interview question, but a question from a candidate: “if you were a candy bar, what kind of candy bar would you be?”
KitKat. Next question.
As an account person I was asked how I would “sweeten the deal” to get a project… I ended the interview
Thats... something
If I was really dedicated to my work because I have kids.
Asking about kids and your family in an interview is quite the red flag. Did you get/take the job?
Coming in late here but I had an agency once ask what I like to do outside of work (normal). After answering pretty generically (travel, barre workout classes, trying new restaurants, reading), they asked if I was okay not doing those things because the hours were long and they expected their employees to be available after hours.
I dropped out of the interview process after that
I recently interviewed with an executive who asked me why I had on my LinkedIn that I was searching for a job. I looked at my LI profile and in my About section, it says that I am looking for my next challenge. He grilled me on why I would do that because my current employer could see it.
Why do they let people with severe mental health disorders conduct interviews and make hiring decisions?
I graduated from college in December 2009 and started my first PR job in June 2010. I once had someone ask me to explain why there was a gap in my resume, which I found kind of unhinged. (The answer is that I worked as an administrative assistant for six months while I figured out what the heck I wanted to do with my life, and I didn’t want to take up valuable space on my resume with that.)
Ha, exactly. Jobs for the field I studied in college dried up during the recession, so I had to figure out how to use my skills to actually get a job while paying my rent in the meantime 😀
Do you have a good relationship with your family?
Maybe not unhinged, but whose business is that?
No, that’s pretty unhinged!
