I had interviewed for an internship position at EY for technology consultant program for summer 2022 and got a call where they extended an offer. I wanted to know if I can defer the internship offer to fall 2022 or a later start date after summer.
I apologize as I cannot reply to a comment or DM on this platform to anyone, but thanks for your answers in advance.

PTO, sick days, and "doctor appointments" were how I always did it before the pandemic. Sometimes scheduling phone interviews during lunch so I could walk elsewhere to take a call.
I get those for full day or even half day in person interviews. But how do I cover the various phone screens and round 1 interviews over zoom? I guess I could try and find a conference room on another floor where my team isn't around.
Great question because it is extremely hard to be back in the office and search for a new job! I ask if there are any after-hour options, and if not, schedule it for my lunch. I hate doing a Zoom interview from my car, but desperate times and all that.
It doesn’t seem like it’s been an issue so far, at least not one that anyone has said something about. I do use the blur background and make sure my phone is steady, with mostly just my head in the frame.
First of all, I wouldn't worry that much about seeming suspicious. People aren't paying attention to you as much as you think they are. But even if they pick up on it, you're on your way out anyway so it's not that big of a deal.

My two cents from what I’ve seen with other colleagues is it’s easy to fib as to why you booked the conference room - you needed quiet focus time; had to call your doctor; a client had a few questions and wanted to chat. If you have kids, you can easily throw it on them (the school called, etc). But tbh, I can’t imagine anyone will even question it
I don’t know what your company culture is typically like, but we book conference rooms for more than just group calls!
I used to go into call rooms, book offices or conference rooms or take it in my car. You could also say you have an appointment, need to WFH for a repair person, etc
I do have one day a week I'm WFH, but obviously I can't totally rely on just that one day. I could try to book a conference room on a different floor so I'm not as noticed or overheard by my current team.
