Budget and type of house (condo, single family, townhome) will very much drive the areas you can target. Can you share those details?
That’s a pretty healthy budget. You could look for some townhomes in Rice Village or Montrose for that range. Midtown also may be possible as well.
You will definitely get more for your money in the Heights. EDo (East Downtown) could be good but you need to check the surrounding streets. Sometimes new townhomes can be plopped next to old abandoned buildings.
More for your money in the Heights? Maybe in Shady Acres, but not along Studewood.
Rice Military is super nice and the perfect location. Pretty central to all great parts of town and very close to Memorial park and Buffalo Bayou Park
Budget is pretty flexible, I see townhomes on the periphery of downtown going for 300-600k, ideally would like a standalone home with a garage and some yard, but doesn’t seem that’s the style with newer buildings. But I’m open either way depending on what I can get, upper budget would be 600-700k.
Get HaR and search in the areas mentioned - most in the mid-late 20’s areas will be townhome or single family with limited yard space unless you got a plot and built - but if you cross into garden oaks/oak forest you will get yard space ans still be in town
Check out Museum District as well. Nice area with parks, bike trails and lots to do.
Highly depends on your budget. As some have mentioned, the Heights, East downtown, midtown, montrose are a few areas to look into. If you're interested, my wife is a realtor specializing inside the "loop" (in the city) if you'd like more help
Woodlands is nice
Heights/Timbergrove (maybe more 30’s), Eado, Midtown/Montrose, Rice Military are all great mid-late 20’s
