I am genuinely interested as this is inspiring story if it is indeed true.
How can so many people on an accounting fishbowl be this bad at taxes? For OP to only take home 36k a year vs. 86k gross, taxes and deductions would have to be over 50%.... Good on the OP. More could be shared about how it's done though instead of just saying it can be done
OP has rich parents
I'm calling b.s. on the saving $3k a month while eating out everyday. Unless you're eating air and having your mom pay for your rent in something other than the typical legal tender. No judgment here though. You do you honey.
Op forgot to say "partner" after saying he is a senior
I can barely afford lunch and unfortunately my bank doesn't accept tears as payment for my school/car loans.
Congrats - you want a cookie? 🍪
Living the dream. Good job. Next step: max out every tax-advantaged account available, including the HSA!
Lot of people bitter.
When I worked at PWC as a first year Senior, my salary was $66k. I call this post BS. OP is just a troll.
Save $3k a month? That seems high unless you have a lot of shared expenses.
Says he eats out everyday but doesn't say where nor that he is paying ... Do u have a social life ? Single? Cause gfs are expensive too lol
It sounds like BS to me. If this is true, could you please give us the break out of your income and expenses.
Sounds like a hard life. Not sure why you felt the need to post this...
Salary is 78k+ 8k bonus. It can be done.
@auditor1 how is your take home 3k a month as a second year senior?, I'm a first year associate and my take home is 3k a month
Rent is $1,100. I file head of household just an FYI.
Why do you want to buy a house?
@Deloitte, agreed, can't get that tax advantaged space back once the deadline for contributions is up.
Not rich. Actually pay rent and save 3k a month while still eating out everyday. It can be done.
Mr. Ballin Koolaid man!
