This summer I’m due for a promotion to senior in the transaction services practice at a consulting firm that’s a direct competitor to the Big 4. I’d like to move to Big 4 for a better salary, even if it comes at the cost of worse hours. Do I need to wait for the promotion to make that transition or could I feasibly get a promotional hire into a senior role at a big 4 with 1.5-2 years of experience?

I’ve been told my company is changing my title from Associate Director of BD to Sales Executive. I’m concerned it reads like a title demotion. Is it just semantics? Curious what the base and commission structure is for inside sales and associate director of sales in biotech (also anyone else who wants to share pls put industry). Paid hourly or salary? At the biotech company I work at avg inside sales is $62,632 with a $3500 per quarter cap. Commission structure is % based on sales quota reached vs capped (not a direct % of sales). I’m underpaid at $53000 with $3500 cap per quarter.

What do you guys think about this? I would be able to predict based on your firm(mbb, big4), your experience, which role you are likely to move (Faang pm, strategy manager, move to mbb).
