How many hours a week do you ACTUALLY work?
Hello Guyss!!,
YOE: 5.2
Tech Stack: React.js, Typescript (Frontend Dev)
Wells Fargo => 24L (fixed) + 1.8L ( variable) + 2L (JB)
Publicis Sapient => 22L (negotiable) (Senior Associate L1)
Please advice better one for me to join considering perks and benefits and career growth. I know WLB is better at Wells.
TIA

Thought I'd share another leadership opportunity, this time for industry leaders in the Tech & Digital sector. Would love to connect with anyone who is a senior leader (MD / SVP) with deep experience in this sector alongside leadership experience in a TA / Growth or Client Relationship environment. Amazing opportunity to further establish and grow our presence with global leaders in Tech.

I work in the Nordics but have also worked in the States. I’d say the US has a significantly better WLB in terms of hours worked per week as well as dispersed vacations. Our super long vacations are amazing, but day to day is much easier in the States…and the salaries are ~40% higher :-/
EU/UK to US transfer, I changed companies. Comp jumped 20% while wlb got better - win/win! Wlb could be a function of the different company cultures tho.
Way happier in US than I ever was in the UK
Same here, SA1. US comp is better, US WLB is better.
Only drawback is the limited number of PTO.
I worked in both. I would prefer US over EU. Salary is much much higher in the US. WLB isn’t that different - typically depends on the project not to the location.
WLB was a big one, I am working 30% lesser hours but for over a 50% lesser salary. The lower salary sucks but I like the European lifestyle. So happy in general till I see my bank balance. US to EU transfer.
I work less in the US and make way more 😁

I am German working in Germany on international projects. I am transferring to US in a couple month for same position but double the salary. I am not sure about the US wlb but very curious. I truly think in the US you work more hours but maybe less performance driven. (Quantity over Quality). Relax guys no offense. I mean it actually in a good way. US colleagues use their time for more socializing.
In Germany everything is very straight forward but slow and not innovative at all. Just boring and old school for less pay
US based here... I worked in Germany for one year and had option to stay if I wanted but I decided to come back. WLB was way better in Europe but the pay is too much for me to give up at this current juncture of my life. If I was married with kids, I might have decided to stay because the benefits as a family as a whole (education, maternity leave, retirement, family vacation, etc) I think might have been better in europe.
