Those who left or about to leave, do you tell your current and or new salary to coworkers or hr if they ask? I am planning to leave and my current stance is if they ask I say the % increase and nothing more or do I just blurt it out the huge gap I have? Its not like they gonna match it or not..

Tell if they ask. Transparency around pay helps employees. Companies don’t like for you to talk about it because it helps them to keep it secret.

Then D should pay you more. Pay transparency benefits everyone, and I say that as a part owner of a consulting firm. If my staff can make more they should know. That’s the only way markets can work well. I want happy staff who feel they are fairly paid, and the only way that can happen is if they know about other options.

I remember my colleague leaving for a another firm, he was retained because Deloitte matched the number. it was 200% jump in the pay.

I will likely leave my new consulting job soon after 3 months. My current job is causing me to (almost) burn out already - I’m essentially doing the job of 2 people due to the project being understaffed. Management style is also severely micromanaged.
