Has anyone requested call with partner to discuss compensation? Anyone able to negotiate higher raise or will it all just give you a bad look/no room for movement?
I recently spoke to the HR of a company where he kept insisting on knowing my salary exepctations. I asked for a range for the role , he did not provide any information on that and said it depends on skill set and differs from person to person. To the point that he wanted to know the total comp off expected even when i said we can discuss on it once i learn more on the role. The number i quoted i feel is less than what i am willing to settle for. How should i reopen discussion on it?
Graduated in 2014. Make 150k as a manager now. Looking for Corporate Strategy roles in f500. What should I shoot for for total comp?
Can anyone give some insight on comp expectations for Hedge Fund analyst roles? Assume experienced associate coming from UMM/MF PE - know it can vary tremendously, but curious if folks have anecdotal comp to share (and not necessarily tiger cub funds either)
I joined consulting from industry with a salary increase of 60% and in hope to work on interesting and challenging projects. It has been only 8 months. My old job was slow, bureaucratic and boring but I barely worked 7 hours a day. While I am happy that I am learning a lot, I am also pushing between 12 to 16 hours a day and working for a toxic client. I am worried I will burn out soon. How do you manage to stay in consulting for so long ?
Did your salary increase as a result of the new overtime laws or are you getting paid overtime?
Hey everyone, just want your honest opinion. I'm a young professional working in NYC in marketing. I've been here for almost 3 years and am feeling like others are getting compensated way more than me. My peers are making much more than me when we speak about compensation but obviously they don't give me the exact number but I can just tell. Does anyone have any insight on how much a professional with 3-4 yrs should be making. I know it depends on the type of work you do obviously but a ballpark
Thoughts on moving offices as a new senior from a big market to smaller? Are there significantly different implications on your career (experiences or compensation)? How is the process?
Quoted $100-120K, 10% bonus, no RSU for Sales Strategy & Ops at Salesforce (4.5 YOE). Super lowball right?

Return I’m working in is hedge fund, new client/1st year , in kind contributions, sec 1256 (which I’m not sure I’m totally understanding), organizational costs ect. Receive 40 correction points back. Does anyone know if Starwood does a global promotion for the Fall? If so when does it usually start?
Does anyone in consulting see a therapist? If so, how do you navigate scheduling? I feel like schedule/work expectations/culture vary so much based on project/client/team that I don’t really know the best way to see a therapist even though it is something I would really like to do.
I will likely leave my new consulting job soon after 3 months. My current job is causing me to (almost) burn out already - I’m essentially doing the job of 2 people due to the project being understaffed. Management style is also severely micromanaged. I am in the process of interviewing & will likely get an offer. Thinking ahead, I am unsure what to say to my current company as the reason for leaving. I have a feeling things will turn hostile.

Is the hiring slowdown over? I contacted a few firms to inquire about lateral opportunities in late June/early July and was asked to check back in the fall due to hiring freezes. I wonder if I should reach back out or if it's too soon. The news about Skadden's staff layoffs this morning makes me think it's too soon.
Does Hill Holiday even look at applications?
