So you have no medical reason requiring you to work from home but due to your pregnancy that you are not disclosing to your employer you’d be more comfortable at home? First, you have to disclose a condition if you wish to have accommodations made. Second, it’s up to the employer since your doctor is not prescribing work from home just stating your preference. I think asking for a hybrid schedule or WFH towards the end is more reasonable

Let us know how it goes! I completely understand the desire
Doesn’t hurt to ask! I told my employer that I prefer to work last month entirely remotely and there was no issue with that. Entire 2nd and 3rd trimester might be a bit much if they’re a hybrid or on-site environment if there’s no real medical reason, but you can certainly ask.
Thanks! Maybe I'll ask to WFH 3rd tri or so, several weeks after sharing the news. Sounds a little less outlandish.
I think most employers would be fine with more hybrid or WFH (or no travel) in 3rd semester. I am at 20 weeks and haven’t told yet, but when I do, I’m going to ask that I be remote the last 1.5 - 2 months of pregnancy (I usually only go to client locations, so this would really mean no travel).
3rd trimester is probably reasonable and also 1st depending on how it’s going. I wouldn’t blanket request wfh rest of pregnancy but more as a need based thing. Might be perceived better. 2nd trimester is like you’re not pregnant at all to most ppl. But of course if you have any specific issues during pregnancy it should be reasonable to request exceptions.
