I am a graduating student who just got offered 65k for a solution analyst role at Deloitte USDC (Data Engineering Focus). From reading previous posts it seems to be a lot of negative thoughts surrounding the USDC, but straight out of college is this a good opportunity?
I'm looking to gain as much experience as possible out of college in an IT role and wondering what exit opportunities may be in place a year or two down the road if there is little/slow progression.
Any Advice?

Asking because I don't know much about it and have received recruiter's call today. Currently I am working in Deloitte. How is thoughtworks hikes, wlb, does it provide any benefits apart from fixed pay? My research gives me a mixed review: some say it's good, some say that thoughtworks is not stable enough like big 4 or other organisations. Pls help Thoughtworks Deloitte

I’m looking to have a nice life. I’m 15 years into my career. I’d like to do more recreation and leisure activities. I’m not having kids so I think the $300k range is plenty for me to have a great life (no debt, about $600k net worth).
I’ve heard lots of nasty things about Amazon culture…
Never trade off quality of life. Amazon isn’t as impressive on the resume as you may assume. Lots of people happy to leave it.
Amazon is great if you like to piss in your water bottle bottle during your “breaks”
The bottle story is more related to warehouse workers and Amazon’s abuse of them. Not a “simple work vs bigger campaigns” thing. I think you’ll have enough time for bathroom breaks.
Personally, I’d struggle to work for Amazon knowing how most of the company’s employees are treated and paid. The other job sounds much, much better.
I have friends at Amazon creative and for each it appears to be a money grab and resume idea before jumping back agency side or to another brand. I would take Chicago and less stress or unknown stress.
Stress of dealing with leaders who don’t value creative in the manner that we do. At their level, they are able to manage from a WLB but it’s the stress being valued but not still questioned at ever turn
What does total Amazon comp include? How much is guaranteed salary vs non-guaranteed extras/bonuses?
I would say $300k in Chicago (as someone in Chicago) is a lot of money and will afford you a very nice lifestyle here. At that level, you’ll have stress but I would think/hope better hours and more control over the stressors.
Yeah I’m leaning the CPG brand! Thank you!
