Hi Guys,
I have joined Ofss 1 week back and on second day itself I was allocated to project and onboarding WIP I received mail stating to report back to office 3 days per week under hybrid work model policy. Is this compulsory my base location is 2600 km from my current location as I am joining the citi project its seems difficult for me to grasp things though I have only 1 yr of prior exp by I think my team is expecting a lot so moving to new city and learning at same time is not possible .

Book recommendations for a vacation?
My wife started as an M at Accenture earlier this year coming from industry. I’ve never worked at Accenture or any b4, but I had to explain to her how up or out works. She also didn’t know that she came in with 24 months at level and what that meant. Really surprised none of this was communicated during hiring or by her manager.

Only if you cannot meet the experience requirement for the PMP right now.
Don’t waste your time
This is JMO but I’ve been hiring for years and been in the biz for a long time: PMP (US) and Prince2 (UK) are the only pure project management certifications that are sought out. The others like CAPM or Project+ are generally not worth the effort and you should either spend your time working on one of the 2 above or look like a more specific technical certification.
I got my CAPM early in my career when I didn’t have enough experience for the PMP. It helped me get the job I wanted because I knew the theory- even if I didn’t have enough practice at it.
I will take back my original comment a bit.. if you are doing it for the learning, go for it. If you’re doing it for the letters, wouldn’t recommend it.
