Three years into my Account Management career and I'm feeling the itch for growth. I've been contemplating an MBA to expand my skill set and open doors to leadership roles. Has anyone here taken the MBA plunge while working as an AM? Curious about the time commitment, ROI, and how it impacted your career trajectory. All of these articles seem to say "it depends"!

If you are staying in advertising an MBA is pointless. If you have goals of going client side then absolutely get it.
I have felt you’d spend more time and money on an MBA than moving up in your current company
I'm currently pursuing an MBA part time to move client side / expand opportunities outside of agencies. I would recommend you get extremely clear on what you want from your career before jumping into one. You don't need to an MBA to be leadership level at an agency. You need to be networking at your company, putting in the work & facetime. In an agency setting it's the most visible & component people who rise. If you're looking to move outside an agency - then yes an MBA can accelerate that path.
