Need help deciding if this offer is worth moving for. Received an offer from Booz Allen Hamilton for an Associate level Sr. Systems Engineer in Los Angeles for $135k base. I countered $150k and a $15k singing bonus and asked if I could be brought on as a lead associate since I've been a lead/manager for a while in my current company.
Current company TC: $125k in Utah.
YOE: 7 with M.S. and MBA
Is the switching cost/risk and higher COL worth it?

McKinsey & Company What is the typical career progression for an average to above average performer at McKinsey? Would be helpful to get context on title and comp progression from undergrad to EM level.
Mainly asking bc I heard the two main paths are 2 years as BA > EM or out with the rare promotion to ASC for those who started out of undergrad. But 2 years to manager seems pretty difficult and how would BCG/Bain compete with that? McKinsey & Company

Find a way to make hell freeze over.
Don't do it... They have a list for the next guy that will take that salary. If you are new there is probably nothing you have done that makes you more valuable than the next person as you learn on the job. #entitledmuch
Shut up and take the job. You're not special
Entry level salaries are set. They won't budge.
HAHAHAHAHAHA
In general, you can't. Do you have some special situation that gives you leverage relative to all the other entry level folk?
You're better off trying to squeeze a small stipend as a signing bonus.
I tried to negotiate with three different people, one being the head partner at office. They don't budge. It's because they set national wide standards for entry level salary. Just not worth your trouble unless you have another competitor consulting offer for higher salary.
Yeah. Don't.
Yeah signing bonus is better to ask for an increase.
Okay on one condition you may, if you have offer from a competing firm for the same type of job (widely debatable) - then you can you have another offer around xyz at abc firm.
Ah to be young again
Accenture negotiates...only if u say u have a better offer. It's worth bringing up but not fighting on it.
