Any Spotify people here? Noticed there’s an AM role going at the moment in the UK but not sure what experience level it is. For reference I’ve got 6 years in ad sales experience with 3 years management (both in music industry). Would this be comfortable or is it worth holding out for AD?
Hi fishes,
Anyone joined coforge recently? Any reviews for the same? Is it worth to join this organisation? They told me they are hiring for Santander bank account but still be having client interview before onboarding to project. Any idea on this account? Is it tough to crack client interview over there? Don't want to face long bench hours like it used to be in Publicis sapient which led to brutal lay off. Kinda sceptical to join as it is giving me Publicis sapient vibes.Coforge Coforge ltd

OP: might be time to re-evaluate your approach. Like it or not, humans are social creatures. We like working with people we like being with. Getting to know your coworkers is part of the job. It would be nice if the office place was 100% based on merit all the time, but it’s not. Try getting to know them. You might not hate it
Upon further introspection, based on your comment ACD1, it’s possible I’m closed off and feeling really disrespected by them that I’m not allowing for us to connect...thanks! Definitely should be re-evaluating my approach and I will!
I work at a pretty cliquey place too and I had more success when I thought about it as a social experiment. I picked the leaders out, figured out what they were interested in and asked them a lot of questions. Now I can’t get away from them. It took me a long time to accept that I had to do things I shouldn’t have to do to succeed.
When I was in this position I worked hard to show my impact on other teams. Then everyone will want you.
SAD1: Thanks! Yeah I’m working hard on my other teams and they’re definitely seeing the value in my role.
ACD1, no, and I’m not going to if I’m being 100% honest. I know everyone’s always like: try to get a drink with them, but 1.) I don’t want to and 2.) I shouldn’t have to. What I want to do is my job, not get a drink with people on my own time. #fuckmeright
If you really want the outcome, the means won’t matter. Think like a Paleolithic human trying to break in to a new tribe. Assimilate, build trust, show courage, then you’ll lead.

ACD2: PD’s are a mixture of the two. We do not manage project from a deliverable to deliverable perspective, in fact most of my teams have dedicated PMs, we manage omnichannel, long-term ongoing projects and budgets at a very high level. We manage, write, and review scopes. Manage the client relationship from a process perspective (aka, you missed this deadline, it effects every single piece of our scope in this way). I am currently managing a lot of inter-agency relationships as our agency’s contact between our clients other agencies. We’re billed as part of the strategy department at my agency.
I can truly make an impact. Couple this with the team wanting a project manager and not a program director while my boss is adamant we do not turn this role into PM. Feeling the tug, but any advice on breaking in while not bending over backwards for a team unwilling to compromise?
Have you asked them to go to lunch / drinks?
I can agree with this, and I’m very well acquainted with my other teams (I’m on 6 total) all of my other teams have paved a way for me and welcomed with open arms. This team has not and does not seem interested unless I’m willing to take on PM duties, which I’m being told by my superiors not to do. So the difficulty comes from a complete disinterest in my role on the team, not from how friendly we are to one another.
😀😀😀 I’m glad to hear you might have found something that can help!
Cliquey?! Try working here! Luckily the work is good...
What's a Program Director anyway? I keep seeing this title float around digital shops. Is it a glorified PM or Account? 🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️
