found a $200 better hotel deal on SPGs app than through deloitte travel -- any chance there's a way to book through the app and expense it rather than book through deloitte travel?
I’ve been thinking about getting into real estate investing. Not right now but later down the road. I’ve been trying to save up for a down payment. What are some good resources for a beginner? Blogs, YouTube, books etc I’m not looking for paid courses because I will be learning at a slow pace. Any help will be appreciated.

Does anyone know any great books on real estate investing? For big investments not for house flipping
Hello everyone, I'm trying to get into real estate investing. Some of the books I've read have talked about buying a multi unit property and utilizing investors to get the necessary capital. Does anyone have experience in getting investors? How do you identify investors who may be interested? Are there any sites where you can invest in or post investment opportunities? Thank you in advance.
How does margin interest impact taxes? Can the margin interest expense be used to offset capital gains or dividends? This year was the first time I used margin so curious about the tax impact
Should I just bite the bullet and buy a prep course? I’d like to think I’m motivated enough to self study... but I’ve had the books for weeks and haven’t opened them yet. I figure investing 1.5k is the push I need to get me going
Do you expense pet sitting fees?
What is everyone’s top 1 or 2 favorite books on personal finance? I’m always looking for a new one to bring into the fold of what I’m doing

My management brag about how little PTO they take - it makes me not look up to them but rather pity them & think I'm in the wrong firm. No one regrets the days they didn't work on their death bed.
Parents of newborns, how are you approaching having visitors during Covid? I’m pregnant and trying to figure out what are reasonable expectations of my family and friends around visitation/holding the baby (anything from washing hands when they come over to quarantining before visiting and holding the baby). I want to make sure we’re protecting ourselves/the baby and our older family members who are at a higher risk. Our families live nearby so I anticipate they may want to visit frequently
I’ve only been with my company for a couple months but it looks like my title will change soon (title bump) and there should be some pretty cool added responsibilities. Should I bring up compensation or anything like that? I feel like I’ll be doing more work aligned to the direction I want to take my career but I also don’t want to look greedy since I haven’t been there for long. I have around 2 years of experience if that helps paint the picture. Also if yes, how do I bring it up?
Bout to hop on a flight EWR to ORD cuz I'm hardcore craving some deep dish pizza #consultingpointsperks
Has anyone found the AWS Cloud Practitioner Certification to be helpful for people in non-technical roles? Any experience in how potential employers view this cert would be greatly appreciated!
Is it significantly easier to get into Accenture Strategy at the SC/M level right now? What can I expect thru the interview process?
Why are big 4 bonuses atrocious?
Anyone else feel everything takes three times as long WFH? I’m worried partners will think I’m taking too long to finish simple projects.
Accenture 🐠, how does your firm handle working WFH in the current climate if you’re working from a home that’s not yours, i.e: parents house, different state? Is there a certain number of hours you’re allowed to charge outside your home state? (Im also assuming you guys fill out timesheets based on jurisdiction/location like D does)
In my first year of big law and hours at my sweat shop firm are already getting to me. Recently got an email from a recruiter promoting a fully remote lit associate position with a 1600 hrs reqmt at a less than 50 atty law firm and essentially what is old Cravath scale pay. Does anyone have experience with a move like this? Too good to be true? I was under the impression that positions with low billables for big law (or close to big law) pay don’t really exist…
Interviewing for a role at BP, what are they like as a firm to work at? It’d be the commercial/strategy side of the business rather than production. I understand they went thru a major re-org to be relevant for the future energy industry. How’s that going?
Is there an comparison between big 4 titles ?
Any fun family holiday ideas on the east coast (New England or NY preferably)? Looking for a mix of outdoor activities and sightseeing
I just got offered a new job at a large bank. I’ve been wanting to transition from Assurance to financial services, but this new job is for the same pay. The hours would also be much longer, and my travel/living expenses would go up if I were to take it. I’m still interviewing for other positions, but hesitant about missing this offer. Any advice?
Any other ladies out there with depression or anxiety? If so, what are some things you do to help yourself professionally when you've hit one of your low points?
Looking for a new office chair at home. Any suggestions? Two key qualities: comfortable and adjustable Price is very flexible. Much rather pay more for a nicer chair than get a deal. Thanks!
Any advantages to waiting until consultant promotion to start searching for an exit ? Could I then target Manager exit opportunities?
Is it normal in Big 4 to: 1. Assign tasks with least amount of direction, context and criticize for not thinking on the feet? 2. Assign more than one task at the same time and push for updates on all?
