He views them as an investment and an "asset" on the books for his future family. He also has grandparents who had to finance their trip to America by selling their jewels. I see the ring as more of a gift to the future bride that is an expense that can be sold for money if needed, but isn't an investment. I'm fine w/ lab grown, he is not. Thoughts?

What do you do when you feel the goalpost has been/is being moved re: billable requirements? Like there's a spoken vs unspoken?
