Transitioning into data science from viz and Python functions are a struggle to learn. I can solve a few simple ones but the more complicated ones are a headache. When does it get easier? How do you learn quickly?

Interviewed today and haven’t talked about salary expectations (ops). Interviewer mentioned that a lot of people have joined them from top companies (FANNG and MBB) for less money because of they believe in the mission. Coming from ZS I’m hoping it’ll still be a bit of a jump 😕

Has anyone made the transition from non-profit and small firm practice to federal government, big law, in-house? I’m a special education parent attorney at a small firm and I’ve spent my legal career in the education and juvenile areas of the law working for 2 non-profits before ending up at the firm. However, I’m just exhausted, unmotivated, and and looking for a change. At this point (6.5 yrs of practice), is that type of transition even possible or am I stuck due to the practice area?

Have you ever taken a career slow down? I am feeling burnt out from COVID and the incremental responsibilities thrown my way over the last 5+ years. I feel like my health has deteriorated. I like my company, but I want to do less. I don’t need to be a HR Director, CHRO, etc. With a career slowdown, I am prepared for a lower compensation and would want decent benefits. I’ve been having a bit of trouble working with one partner at a new firm. There are definitely things I can/need to work on for improvement, but I’ve been practicing for four years and have had no trouble with other partners/peers before.
