Heading over to USVI for a 5 nights. Staying in st Thomas (Ritz) looking for recommendations / things to do. Suggestions welcome. A couple of specific Qs 1. Do I need to rent a car? (I would like to visit at John, assuming that's a yes) 2. Reccos for renting snorkeling gears? 3. Are there any amazing dining options in st Thomas that I should consider? Thanks!
What alt crypto do you have high conviction that it will grow exponentially in the next 3-5 years?
Currently working on plan C of a honeymoon as we don’t expect to be able to go Europe in June/July as hoped. Plan A and B were variations of Italy (relax) and Spain (mountain biking). Hoping to use bonvoy points. Any US centered suggestions? Maybe refocusing on golf/warmth/spa/food now.
Going from E gates to the rental car center in ATL. Guess I’m getting my exercise in today after all 🚶♂️🏃♂️🚶♂️🏃♂️
“Per diem” meal expenses are EXPLOITATION. $50 is not enough for a single meal at a hotel restaurant, let alone an entire DAY for food. Shifting travel costs onto your employees = evil. Yes i mad :<
Not even 2018 yet in Central time and SPG + UA already set all the clocks back to 0. Here’s to another year away from home...
I miss the Monday morning posts complaining about travel. Those flight delays, the not getting upgraded to first class, the talkative Uber driver…..
Anyone with Air Canada miles (not sure if United Miles work too) want to barter for a ticket? Southwest, Delta miles, or cash? Austin to Toronto: 12/25 or 26 to 1/2 or 1/3. Thanks in advance.
Lyft vs uber for rewards? Company politics removed, which has a better rewards system? Flying United not delta FYI and have enjoyed the $5 uber cash every 500 points
Hey fish fam, need an expectations level set. Ambassador status, staying at a St Regis for honeymoon. Concierge emailed to ask the occasion ahead of time, and we mentioned again at valet, check in, and breakfast - haven’t gotten anything other than “congrats.” No upgrade. No information at check in re: amenities or “rituals” (e.g., 3 days in found out that there is a daily bloody Mary tasting - would’ve been nice to know). Am I overreacting to have hoped for something, anything celebratory?
What is the best credit card I should open? I currently just have a costco citi credit card and MasterCard debit card.
First time traveling. Live in midtown NYC -- 7am flight. What time should I catch Uber to JFK?
Overwhelmed by Westin Suite upgrade. So much space for only me.... My tiny apartment back in Chicago will be ashamed.. :p
Any hotel recommendations for Athens and Istanbul? Planning a trip during thanksgiving. Looking for a family friendly (with toddler) place / area. TY!
Need to spend $400 to make Delta Platinum next year. Anyone an idea how to do this best with no time..? Just spend a Sat flying around or do you know other options?
How do you cope with work in early pregnancy and exhaustion? I don’t have lots of common pregnancy symptoms except cramps and fatigue. The exhaustion is on high today!!! Yawning through my zoom meetings and it’s only 11am here on the west coast. I’m also a team lead so I need to be present on meetings. I don’t know how to cope lol. I slept a lot through the holidays but now I’m back at work. I even overslept for my 8am meeting today 😫😂.

Things to do before putting in notice? So far I have: spend fitness subsidy, transfer Amex points, spend tech subsidy. What else?

Recently relocated to a new city (MCOL) from HCOL, got a big salary bump, was thinking about saving money and got a really cheap studio. But I hate the place so far for 1) I can hear noise for everything 2) The place is too small 3) emotional depressed for living in such a small place. Should I pay 1.5X rent to get out here and get a nice place?
Creative director for Disney Plus? This would be the first client side job I’ve ever had. No idea If the salary is more or less than what we see in ad agencies. Any tips / insight?
Does MBB recruit at one year MBAs?
Anyone else exited from traditional litigation to do contract work? I’m currently a BigLaw associate attorney who is considering project contract work with Paragon for the work life balance. I would love to hear from anyone who has taken this path before and bonus points if you’ve worked for Paragon. Thanks!
I’m a 2017 associate in NYC biglaw. I logged approx. 2300 billable hours in 2019. Is that light, normal or heavy in the biglaw market for RE associates at my level? Thanks in advance for thoughts.
For Kellogg why are some people interviewing with adcoms and others are interviewing with students/alumni?
Currently going through egg freezing at 36 and having a ton of regrets over not doing this earlier. I wish I had people in my life who were more honest and practical vs. Optimistic about having ‘plenty of time’ left and encouraged me to do this 4+ years ago. I’ve always known I’ve wanted kids I just haven’t met anyone yet. Here’s to hoping I only have to do 1 round because this shit is so expensive, even with my company’s benefits 🥺
