I’ve been told my company is changing my title from Associate Director of BD to Sales Executive. I’m concerned it reads like a title demotion. Is it just semantics? How will this look for my career development? Curious about the standard perception of Sales Executive from a seniority perspective. Where does this land on the sales roles hierarchy? For context, it’s a professional services firm, I’ve been there 3+years, and they gave a Sales Executive title to someone who just started 5mo ago.

For folks who recently got their EAD, how long from the time of filing your I-485 did you get it?

I accepted an offer from another consulting firm and my H1B visa has also been transferred. I have not joined the new role yet. However I had been interviewing with another firm and expecting an offer I know this is not the best practice but is it allowed to accept another offer even though H1 transfer has been approved through another employer? If I accept the second offer does this raise any red flags with USCIS as they potentially see 2 almost consecutive visa transfer requests?

I have a real estate client who at the top of his organization chart owns is 50/50 partners in a real estate investment company. First question is it advantageous to have the top of the organization 50/50 partners own the r/e company as an s-corp? That 50/50 company then owns 70% of holding company they own all the real estate as a partnership that the original partners are 35/35 and the investors own the remainder. All the real estate deals are then owned by this holding company.

After joining, both laptop and desktop is sent. Is it done for everyone or for specific domain? And does this mean the flexibility of working from anywhere ceases to exist?

Is there any advice for networking into projects when you don’t know many people at the firm yet? I always to help on BD work when I’m on the bench, but it never turns into any billable work. Every time I have talked to a partner/senior manager I was told I don’t have the skill set they’re looking for, but I don’t know how to build up from there. I work in inside sales and was curious if call quotas are typical? 150 calls a week are what is expected but I have so many other tasks to take care of that I do not hit this quota. We do not do cold calling so it’s not like I have infinite people to call.
