When i got into cyber security i was extremely enthusiastic about it. I was fascinated by how a simple string on hexadecimal values can give you remote access to any machine, so i learned many things like exploits development, reverse engineering and malware analysis. During my tenure of 6 years i used IDA just once.

In my opinion Indian cyber security, especially SOC is just like another job, we don't have a creative culture in cybersec domain. That's heart breaking.....

Hello guys, I do have questions on remote international working.
For example if I was hired for remote working for US and I am remotely working from India, how the salary expectations should be, as per India/ US/ or something mix of both?

YOE - 6 in Android development. I got an offer from MakeMyTrip Bengaluru 22L fixed + 2L joining bonus. I'm from hyderabad. MMT has hybrid work model and wants me to relocate so that I could appear in office twice in a week. They denied full remote opportunity. Given that some companies are providing full remote opportunities, is it still worth it to relocate for a job/career? I live in a rented flat in hyderabad which I need to vacate and find a new place in a new city bengaluru.

Does industry of your first in-house role affect your exit opportunities or is it just the day-to-day role and skill set that matter?

I've been a government attorney for nearly three years now and have worked in the same office/division since I passed the bar. I've yet to receive a promotion other than two cost of living increases (in sum, a pay increase of 6k over 3 years). I know this is meager, but I'm mostly ok with it, I just want to see some recognition. On the other hand, it's hard for me to imagine negotiating because (given my inexperience), I don't feel I'd be able to do better anywhere else. Any advice?

Currently a senior 3 at EY and hope to get promoted to manager next year by October. Is it better to move over to BCG after promotion as a project leader? Or would that not be a lateral move as a EY manager?

So I've been at my job for 5+ years as a data analyst/back office support team. I made my way up into making a little over $40k. I've been WFH the past 2 yrs and overtime more than half my team has now been pulled out to work for a diff department which resulted in me taking 90% of our daily tasks to handle. What happens to the relocation lumpsum if I serve the notice period and put down my papers a few days before my last working day.

very Selective jobs( MF PE and BB IBs) kinda blow these numbers out of the water... but for the more attainable exits like MM IB and and corporate development... considering wlb and pay, is the grass much greener?
