I posted my startup on here a couple of weeks ago and received valuable feedback from this bowl. I’ve made updates to the landing page and I’m looking for additional feedback. The site is still a work in progress, but would really appreciate if you could please take a few minutes to check out the site (Outvisory.com) and give feedback. Do you get the site’s value prop? What’s missing? First impressions etc. thank you!
I want to earn good money without compromising on WLB.

Hi Fishes, I've accepted offer from Accenture from their portal.. But now got new offer from EY and wants to join at EY. So how can I tell Accenture Accenture India that I'm not going to join them. Rather than not showing up on the date of joining? Can you please guide me? How do I let them know? My talent coach is not reachable

I skip lunch and shower instead. It's amazing to be able to do things on my timeline.
Ooo yes also love the lunch workout or walk!
Underrated benefit: 3hrs a day in travel time recovered.
Over 5 hours recovered in travel time. But my employer gets that now in work. And I'd rather do that than go into the office.
A million times better. Actually getting to sit down and enjoy a meal instead of having to scarf it down and immediately get back to work makes me feel a little more like a human being.
Don’t have to shake my cold salad while sitting in a freezing office feeling dead inside
1000%
I would never go back into the office 🤣
Coming from a person who actually likes people. That's not where I wanna be with people tho
Same! I like people but it’s draining in a different way. Plus I want to get work done and get the heck home!
Agree. Took my son out for lunch yesterday since his school only had a half day.
Aw I love this!!
This!!! I love enjoying organic steak for lunch.
Sounds delicious!
Eating home cooked meals in general for remote. I miss the networking opportunities with team members
Perfect excuse for offsites ;)
Definitely eating my food from my own kitchen at the time I want to - vs meal prepping for the whole week, or standing in line at the deli at 12 pm with all the other office workers.
And no pet sitting fees.
Yep! Feeling obligated to go w the group and having zero time to zen out bc now we have to make conversation. And yes spending money when I have a great lunch I made myself
Rising Star
Depends on company. I go to the office partially because of the free food. This doesn't apply universally, but is a consideration for many tech workers.
I can see the appeal of that too, but I think might lose its luster after a while. I’m sure Google has amazing food tho!
Unless your office services premium catering! [Sad face]
Do they let you get dinner at Meta too? Or do you need to work past a certain time?
Another underrated benefit is the privacy of your own bathroom!!
You mean I don’t need to stake out the private bathrooms on obscure floors?!
I don't take it for granted at all either. I appreciate it every single day. I get done with my morning block of meetings with on and offshore teams, and then I go and help myself to a nice 3 egg omelette with some sourdough toast and a green smoothie from the Vitamix. This is absolutely a charmed life, and I'm grateful every single day.
You got it figured out!
Yes. Food out is outrageously expensive now. It was never cheap but these days you need at least $10 for McDonalds which is bad for you and has many adverse health effects.
Ready made deli food at the grocery store these days is $10 to 12 a pound. Nothing is cheap. Guess you can get Chipolte for about $12 with a drink.
Well, if you come to an ignition center you at least get a few windows. 😏
Still have to stuff your food though
Lunch meeting block 👀
The food in the cafeteria of our HQ in terms of quantity, variety and quality is better and more elaborate than anything I would be willing to cook during a workday
I believe in you! Rise to the occasion!
Also saving on travel costs is underrated savings train, no need for car if less mileage, save car maintenance or ownership can use car clubs etc.
True!! Everything associated with cars is so ridiculously expensive now
Using my own bathroom, flexibility to be present for my family without burden of long commutes, easier to go to doctor appointments, reduced wear and tear on vehicle and expense to commute
Same! I eat so much healthier working from home and I love it. My old in office job would provide food sometimes and it was always unhealthy or I went to Starbucks and spent an arm and a leg each day.
Agree! My office does not provide lunch but lots of snacks so a lot of times on busy days I’d just end up eating a bunch of chips as my meal :(
My area office does catered lunch every day from local restaurants, which is the one thing that sucks about WFH. But I'm not driving 1+ hrs for that haha
Aw that does sound nice! I guess you could go in if you’re really feeling a restaurant that day, nice to have the option!
Are there any known downsides to working from home? I desperately want to find a remote/WFH gig.
Out of sight, out of mind (for opportunities and promos) for companies with a more in-person culture. But for me the pros of WFH still outweigh all of that corporate ladder climbing
