(Understand there are health-related bowls but feel like this is more my target audience)
Equinox members: is it worth it? Recently moved next door to one so it is the most convenient option but still somewhat skeptical. Also because I wouldn’t say I look like a model, and seems like everyone who goes there is already super fit.

Not worth it IMO, but maybe if it's that convenient.

Yes, due to convenience. Plus it’s a great place to meet guys who’re into chubby girls.

T1, as they say … “Fat chicks need love too. But they gotta pay.” Besides, it’s how I met my wife.

It’s better now that they’ve lowered the volume of the music in NYC.

like

I’d say only worth it if you do the classes. If you don’t, you’re paying a lot of money for what is basically a gym.

What P1 said. I loved my membership and made the sauna/Kiehl’s products part of my daily self-care routine. I only used it for classes and spa services though (they have great massage therapists). Agreed that it’s not worth it if just using equipment.

Beginning to consider going in house (4th, corp) - I really haven’t thought about what I want, partly because I’m not sure what’s out there/attainable. Is it a bad idea to start by applying to a couple positions that interest me and seeing where that gets me? I’ll of course prep for the interviews but am afraid to burn potential bridges if I ultimately decline because I’m still figuring things out.

I’m have a new theory about why juniors always feel like idiots and wanted to see if anyone else thinks this makes sense. I’m a third year, and am the most junior person all of my teams (generally me, a senior or two, and a partner or two), and I always feel like I’m messing something up. Is this just because I never get to work with other juniors and don’t see the mistakes they make, and that it’s relatively normal? And FWIW I went to HYS and I’ve had a clerkship so it’s not like I’m not smart

When should a stub start getting worried about not having much work and low billable hours?
I’ve asked for work but no luck. I know they say this is normal for a stub but when should I start getting worried and consider looking for exit options? Fyi, I like my practice group, so I don’t want to change to a different group within my firm, hence would have to lateral, if I have to. Also, other co-1st years are churning in high hours.

Pay is roughly 30% biglaw haircut, with incentive bonuses for hours and originations.
