Understanding that people don’t often come here to post about how much they love their firm, but from what I see every single consulting firm seems to be stock down right now for specific reasons. So I ask: what firms feel like they’re ascending/doing well and why?

Some of the niche/boutiques are growing quickly. I'm at Avaap, which falls into that category.

In terms of larger/prestigious consulting firms... as A1 said, they tend to rise and fall with the larger industry cycles

That’s just the nature of the beast. In two years, they will all be on the rise again.

We have majority sold out practices and are hardly alone

I think your confusing the over hiring and down grade of talent during the Covid years to firm health, we are all a little bloated in places as the market shifts and those caught in those areas are feeling it

Industry would be far healthier if voluntary turnover returned to historic normals

Hey folks, I'm getting an offer as a SC in EY UK. Presently I'm a manager with EY India (up for SM next yr Oct 2021). Comp is 55k range (haven't officially received the figure, a few more days it's expected, doing some homework before that).

I'll be moving with family. Wife may not immediately start working (,find a new job, we have a toddler daughter as well 2 YO).

I personally don't find this offer commercially attractive. Can someone offer some counter arguments?

Never been in an SE or consulting or B2B sales role before but have a referral at Salesforce and have been in some informal conversations. I’m starting to freak out a bit now that maybe I can’t do it. I have a tech background so can handle that part, but perhaps strategy may be difficult. Anyone make the transition to an SE role that have some advice?

What can I do outside the office to boost my resume and be a substantially more attractive candidate for top consulting firms in ~12 months time. Working in disputes and valuation role but want to go into management consulting next year (post MBA role). I feel like my job isn’t enough because skills aren’t considered as transferable outside this field.
