Hi all, recently in touch by Spotify recruiter for a Sec Engineer position for remote EU and was told that range was 60-80 out of base salary and equity. Had 2 years of security experience out of my 4 years. Was also told that there is no bonus scheme or no sign in bonus 😕 Not sure how I feel about this tbh.
What do you think?

I’m about to start an internship at IBM for UX Research. I’m super excited about it, and was wondering if anyone could tell me about the design culture there or how the company is for designers? So far online I’ve only heard about the company from consultants or software engineers. For more reference I’ll be working in Austin.

This is a pretty good summary of the Robert Half survey along with another one: https://medium.muz.li/2018s-ux-designer-salary-forecast-32ccc1dfcd5f
I think it's pretty spot on, and would look at the high-range as appropriate for the New York area/COL.
That's basically me and I'm at $117k. What's it like at Deloitte?
It's not the level of experience, it's the level of work. Nothing less than 90k considering good work.
@IBM1 I’m at 85. Hoping to get 90 at year end. Damnnnn IBM pays well! Is that base or total comp?
That's base, but our bonuses are really small so I wouldn't count them. I'm also on the product side, not the consulting side of the company. Salaries are likely different there.
85k seems low, I'd think Deloitte would pay better! I was just thinking about looking at Deloitte the other day, but maybe not now...
@IBM1, I think I’m underpaid- don’t use me as a yardstick. Apply anyway!
@IBM1, how many years of exp you got and what level are you?
About 4 years of experience and got one promotion since I started here, but in not a lead or anything.
Ah, how you liking the IBM team? Do you do more service design or product design?
I've done mostly product design. Great work/life balance and flexibility, but I'm looking for something new because things move slow and want to do something less technical.
This is awesome! Thanks!
