Waiting for an offer letter from Slalom Consulting that they said they’d “definitely” be extending, but it’s been two weeks now and still nothing. They explained that they’re looking to start me in may ( the exact date is tbd), but are still waiting on final approval. However I’m feeling anxious since I really want to leave the role /company I’m in and this was my Chance. I’m miserable and burned out but can’t consider quitting without another job lined up. Any idea how long this could take?

does wipro pays for notice period recovery , I preponed my release date from current org and I see that as recovery amount in my provisional f&f , I have sent a couple of emails, talked to wipro HR a couple of times asking if they shall pay for recovery but their response has been non committal so far , what should I do so I could get the notice period recovery done , the DU am going to, hiring manager from that told that it could be claimed but HR has not given anything in written so far?

What are the odds of getting into Big Law after being an associate at a boutique in a small market? I clerked right out of law school and am now joining a boutique firm with the hopes of gaining experience quickly. While relocating isn’t an option right now, I have considered trying to move to a larger firm in a larger market in the future. Has anyone else done this?

I’ve been thinking about this for awhile now, but it is very to commit to actually accept a new job offer since I really do love my job. My only complaint is, the pay vs workload is very small. I’m a manager now and my property offered me a director position… but the salary is still low! To make six figures, it’ll take another 5-6 years to grind it out.

I see a lot of open roles - managers, senior strategists etc. I have a top 20 MBA and about 8 years of big 4 experience in consulting - would this be the right kind of role to get into? Learned an interesting lesson today: don’t mention wanting to go into government at some point in the future in a biglaw job interview. Had a callback where I mentioned a desire to be an AUSA. They passed on my candidacy apparently because of it.
