Hi! I’m Head of Insights at an agency in London. I built a team of 4 and oversee and train junior and mid-level insights analysts. I’ve been told that I’ll be promoted to Director next year but I might need to move to NYC because of my husband’s job. Curious if anyone else is or has been in the same boat. I started as an assistant at an entertainment law firm prior to passing the bar. Upon passing, the partner told me they would hire an assistant for me since I now became an associate. That was 1.5 years ago and I am still in the limbo of juggling my own workload + doing assistant roles for my supervisors. I have also had no increase in pay, which is a huge deal for me. Is this normal in the entertainment world? Any suggestions?

Been welding for my company for 13+ yrs and I think it’s time for a change. The culture has completely changed and became toxic. My dream is to go independent do mobile/rig welding and repair then potentially have my own shop/store front. I have all the equipment and truck setup to start but don’t know where or how. I am certified to pipeline (API 1104) code in dual processes (GMAW, SMAW) as well as an AWS CWI and a CPWI. Any advice/input is greatly appreciated!!

Met with the team had a great chat, Founder even said "I guess you can start right away"..Hiring manager calls later says they'll update then boom that generic email hits my inbox. Applied for a position in Johnson and Johnson Canada. Reached the final round 3 weeks back. After not getting any updates I emailed the HR a couple of weeks back.
