this is something to be pushy about!! not rude, but if they told you you’re getting a raise then you deserve to know the details on when that’s happening. was there a specific meeting where this was discussed? this all depends on what your relationship with your team is like but in my situation i would say something like “hi! i wanted to check in regarding my compensation- we discussed X on DATE with Person A, but I haven’t seen an increase reflected in my pay. Any update or idea of when the change might be implemented? Thanks!”
I was promised a new office by 5 different managers and corporate instructed my current boss to expedite the office 8 months ago. This promise has been given for 6 years as I currently work in a small office, formally a bathroom, with no window, heat or air conditioning.
My boss says there is no money.
I also had to request 3 years back pay from incurred raises that were implemented months after increase was due.
I cannot stand up at my desk and have to turn my chair side ways to rise and take to steps out of my office.
What Responce do you have for this situation as I love my job but starting to feel disregarded and burnout.
The only reason you’re there is money. To hell with the pleasantries. Make it happen
Were you told about the salary raise in private? If yes, you can ask the person who told you to verify first talks about potential lay-offs and if there will be none, ask about the promised raise.
If the raise was said as a group promise or target, you can also ask privately the one who announced it. Best in passing, not in writing. Hehehe
