I have around 1 year of experience in Java and total 5.5 years in total.

I got a lead role in a company with good package.
The role is of java fullstack, microservices.
I studied hard on spring boot and microservices but my hands on experience is less.
Would I be able to survive,I am a quick learner and deliver projects on time....but first time switching so asking.

Has anyone left healthcare and is now really happy? I’m an MSN, RN with 12 years hospital experience. I’m burned out and tired of making crap pay. I have an opportunity outside of healthcare that would pay more and challenge me in new ways that I haven’t experienced before. It’s a total shift that would really heal my work-life balance, job satisfaction and budget. My only fear is that I would not be using the license and degree that I worked so hard for. I would appreciate any input!!!!

I am a registered sales assistant which means I have my series 7. I also have the 63 and my Life & Health license. I was a financial advisor but the role is commission only so I decided to take a role as an assistant for some time to learn etc. I really like my role, but I only make 32k a year and after taxes I only take home about 25k. I have a gut feeling that I’m not being paid market value but it’s tough to find comparable salaries. Do you think $15.38/hr is a fair wage in this case?

Help! I have 10 years of consulting exp - mostly federal and/or human capital, left to go to small company where I’m a VP. Comp is around 230 now - 170/60bonus. My company went toxic in the last couple months. Chose me and started interviewing. Had a very successful interview with Amazon but recruiter is working hard trying to place me and said there’s no knowing how long to find a team. Meanwhile I just received a Director offer for a company with a 29% pay bump July 1. If Amazon or any other FAANG/large co gets back to me, is there an acceptable way to not burn bridges with new job and accept or delay start date with FAANG? Or fuck it just hop?

Hello all. I have been doing relatively better than my peers past few years. But I can’t help to always look and check on my peers and “afraid” of them catching up to my pace. Have any of you had same thoughts? How do you go through that feeling?

What would you do?
My company contracts a web developer, we have a set amount of hours for the quarter and pay over if more work is needed.
He never gets anything done. Doesn’t answer emails half the time. The one thing he’s done was take out a blurb that threatened our eligibility for patent renewal.
We have another company taking over in January, but I still have some pretty important dev needs until then and I can’t get him to do a thing. I truly try to give him all he needs.

Hello Fishes, I interviewed at a company in October and they responded to me after a month. I accepted the verbal offer last week Wednesday. They said they would give written offer in a week. Being a married female, i am little bit concerned about WLB in long term.
I have heard in EY they tag you in more than 1 project.
