I don’t know about “pushy” but I would take the fact that it’s the weekend into consideration.
The lease is technically null and void if they have not paid you by the date and time in the contract.
You can withdraw the lease if the potential renter has not signed it. And give it to the other renter.
I have canceled my leases multiple times when the security deposit and first month payment was not made as per lease agreement.
State laws are different. What state are you in?
First thing you should look for when you give your home on the rent is the ability for the renter to pay.
