1. Morning laps in Central Park. Most people get in to the park around 5:45 at Tavern or Engineer's Gate and are out of there by 7am.
2. Morning laps in Prospect Park, usually 6am is when you see a lot of cyclists. Starting point is usually the Grand Army Plaza entrance.
3. Weekends are for heading up the west side Greenway to Riverside drive and then up over the George Washington Bridge. From there, head north on River Road or 9W to Piermont or Nyack.
Recommend people check out nycc.org it is the NY Cycling Club. They have tons of rides.
Friends in Fitness do lots of rides in NJ.
If you can make it up to the GWB, the NY cycle club (NYCC) does lots of rides that go over GWB and up 9W etc on some really nice roads.
Do you know of any clubs in Jersey city? I could come to NYC. I am a new biker, learned biking last year. Thanks a lot in advance!
