I am looking into the CCP (Certified Compensation Professional). It seems to be quite an expensive exam.

For those who have taken it, are there any cheaper or alternative study materials to any official guides you would recommend? I went this route with the PHR and SHRM-SCP and passed each on the both try, so I wanted to see if that method may be viable here. Any recommended order to take courses in?

How do I get a job at a startup? I have an accounting/finance background, but don’t enjoy that work and want to get into the startup space (been interested for years).

I have a lot of enterprise marketing experience, but making a jump to a startup and want to get up to speed as quickly as possible.

Is it worth it to go back to school for a better track to a FAANG company? The division I’m currently in seems like there are no good opportunities, and I have the funds available to finish my undergraduate full time (Canada). I applied to Amazon before for a highly senior position and made it to final interview so I think I would have a better chance for a new grad type role.

I started a company just under 1 year ago. We sell a product via ecom channels and have done ~100K in revenue with a 60% gross margin.

The first 6 months I was working a full time job. I quit my job to focus on the business full time, and have since depleted my readily available capital. I’m bootstrapping the business with my own funds. I was recently offered a job in my old industry for 80K per year. I was previously making 62K.

Should I take the job?

I’m so new to product marketing- was hired as a subject matter expert. I feel like I’m winging it like 85% of the time. Can anyone recommend resources or somewhere I can look to learn more and get up to speed?

I am a developer with 4.7 yrs in IT & have worked as .Net & presently as Salesforce Developer in my career, my ctc is 9.5LPA.
How can i shape my career hierarchy to reach at good level with yoe i have. I see my juniors with just 2yoe earning more than my ctc. Should i work as a developer for coming years or should i start preparing myself for higher level in IT. Incase if I should prepare for higher levels then what it should be Architect or is it shud be in Bussiness domain?

Things are apparently going to get better after a client will be leaving, I’ll get to work on different brands but I am feeling pretty burnt out from the agency I’m at. Will new clients help? I just had my 3 month performance evaluation. It went really well and I received a raise, but I’m worried if I should of negotiated it. It went from $41K to $45K. Is this reasonable? I’m considering I’ve been in the field for only 3 months.

I’m four months into my job and I got put onto a PIP. I worked so hard to break into IB, put up all the hours and even working 2am nights for weeks, learned a ton, and improved a lot along the way as the sole analyst yet this happens. I’m extra worried because it doesn’t seem there’s IB analyst positions out there. Im really hoping come January more positions come up but I’m just praying they don’t fire me until then. Anyone have general tips for this situation?

Interesting all the noise about these PPT, my take:

The pandemic took all the upside of an IB analyst life (client meetings in person, fancy trips, suit up, worshiped at networking events) and left all the juniors with the downside (long hours, monkey-like type of job, aggressive work environment).

Not that the complaints are not sort of legitimate but you may need to revise the decision-making process that led you to accept a return offer. Specially if you were looking for less hours.
