My experience - one meet and greet after another with no disclosure of overall timeline or comp. After four of them I pushed the comp question and learned that we weren't playing the same sport, let alone in the same ballpark.
It's a meet and greet with many people to determine if you're the right culture fit. Compensation wise they seemed like they couldn't compete with the bigger consulting firms however the work life balance may be worth it.
I’ve started asking the comp range questions much more blatantly to the recruiters, i feel its okay to be clear with them so that you don’t waste time and effort
Differs by market pretty heavily, what region or office reached out?
There is no set structure. I generally prefer meeting with candidates in a non formal setting like lunch. If they get through me they talk with a director and we do a happy hour. Some people go in and sit through normal interviews and can take 5 weeks. My cycle is generally only two.
