Hi Fishers, I want to pivot my career into management consultant. I am currently working as a Market research analyst with 1 YOE. Can someone please suggest me how or where should I start to build my career in management consulting at Big 4.
Also, please suggest entry level jobs that I will be eligible for with skills in Strategy, primary and secondary research, and competitor analysis.
Thanks in advance!

@OP, their brand speaks for itself and they don't need to waste $ by putting their name on a building. I'm sure they'd rather give that naming money to their employees to keep them happy
Surprised no one has given the real answer yet - our offices are typically not large enough to justify naming rights. Big 4 offices typically take up a greater % of building space and are therefore more likely to be offered a place to put their name on the building
*goes home and changes out of Aston Martin shirt*
In Atlanta we went one step further towards stealth and are in a building with PwCs name on it.
We have a bathroom for both genders. Not bragging, just saying.
BCG1 that's so 2016. You need 3 nowadays
McK is quite intentional in not doing any sort of branding. No pens, bags, shirts, etc. with the McK logo. Airport drivers can't have signs that say McK. I've had to complain to hotels several times when they put McK as having booked a meeting room on hotel displays. So definitely no McK name on buildings.
We're very discreet. Why bother with a giant sign? If you need to know where we are, you'll know. Otherwise, coming to the office where 70% of the seats are empty M-Th is pretty pointless.
Because the poors in the area would take the solid gold lettering. That, or it's "strategically" placed. 😉
With all due respect, nothing can beat the ERNST & YOUNG logo on Times Square 😂😀. We owned that shit.
BCG2 that may have been true at some point, but no longer the case. Many BCG buildings are labeled, you've been intentionally drumming up publicity about your new impressive office spaces, and locations, and now have more company sponsored swag (pens, umbrellas, etc). There is nothing wrong with that but I wouldn't say BCG is discreet at all, it's just adapting to the times and changing its approach based on its position in the market
What if I live near a MBB office and I never knew it 🙄🤔🤔🙃
I much prefer the MBB approach to marketing. It's the same as what has been successful in my career... I have only twice been the one to reach out to a company about a job opening, and while both were very successful for me, it's way better to be pursued because the barriers are far fewer. I am connected to a ton of recruiters but they are all ones who have reached out to me and I am selective based on the kind of connections/jobs they have. I am lucky to have developed a skill that is hotly desired right now but like MBB and strategy there's something to be said for being first, becoming the best, and maintaining that standard...The world will do your marketing for you, as you can see from the Big 4 folks on this app falling over themselves to find a way to get in there.
I dunno PC1, I feel like a truly educated company would understand that it's scientifically proven that there are only 2 genders lol
The new NYC BCG office is amazing, you can google it. I've been to the McKinsey office in NYC too. You can obviously google the location but MBB doesn't really need airport ads for the type of services they provide.
Same reason Aston Martin owners don't walk around with a huge logo on their clothes.
In Chicago, the name of BCG is on the side of the building. I walked by and noticed the other day. Also lol at these 'anyone who needs to know, knows' comments. You have heard of google maps, right? Everyone knows where your office is.
PC1, this is not progress my friend. Progress is the man going to the moon, not some leftish ideology that means nothing to the vast majority of the population but is somehow forced upon our necks just so we are not labelled "non-progressive". F that!
^triggered
Side note- gender neutral bathrooms still have urinals, right? Like with barriers?
@BCG2 I have seen the company logo a ton when I visit Chicago: outside of the office, on backpacks, hoodies, and even on vests that consultants wear to bars (I have friends at BCG Chicago) so your office may discreet but Chicago certainly isn't. Also when I go back to my alma mater they all have BCG coffee mugs and green umbrellas. Is branding done inconsistently across offices? Genuinely curious about that because none of that seems selective to me at least?
