Everyone I know who uses backpacks has gotten fired. It's called Darwinism, survival of the fittest nerds.
Anyone from Deloitte get laid off this week?
I know someone that might be affected by the Activision layoffs, and he’s only 6 months out of UG. Any tips or advice that I could give him?
So what happens if the firm loses one of the main clients you work on? (Get fired, move around to diff teams etc...)??
Here is how KPMG handled an announcement today re: a RIF: We’ll be laying off people. We can’t tell you when. can’t tell you how many people. We can’t give you any details. But we WILL send you an email after this call with FAQs and the severance policy. ...no email was sent. So, now 1,000 employees are going to bed tonight confused and irritated AF.
Are the Deloitte layoffs happening in federal or commercial? I'm in fed and haven't heard a thing about layoffs
Please pray for me. I got fired recently 😔.
If you get fired, can you apply for unemployment the week after your last day or do you have to wait until severance is done?
Has anyone been fired? Recently happened to me and I'm struggling with how to deal with it. Like how do I tell my SO, parents, friends?
FYI, be wary if someone calls you saying they’re from unemployment. I just received a call from “Justin” saying he was calling regarding my claims issues. The claim he was referring to 1 that’s been closed already (due to severance) & and I have a new one that’s approved. He asked if the last 4 digits of my SSN were my phone number(?). He couldn’t read me back the digits or any info he had in the system. I was told previously in the message portal they can’t call directly to discuss claims 🚩🚩
Layoffs at Joan?
Got an exit opp that starts right after New Years. Want to drop my exit notice a week before starting PTO for the holiday break to provide a decent transition and not screw over clients, but don’t want to get fired once I wrap up transition before the break. Has anyone seen or experienced this (transitioning right after winter break)? What was your experience and how did you navigate? Deloitte
Have you ever been fired from a job? What are your strategies for getting back on for feet?
Feeling really pissed off. Was surfing the web and saw the CD that fired me just had a new good spot on adsoftheworld

I got a Reason of Rejection for Product Management Profile: Reason was given of rejection that candidate is having consulting and customer engagement. Will it be plus point for Hiring company, having the candidate of same industry experience, PM profile, consulting and customer engagement. Can you please tell any Product Manager, who is building roadmap without knowing Market, customers and their pain points. Please comment what this Hiring Manager has thought in his mind.
What kind of YOY salary growth would one expect at top pharma in a Director level role? Quantitative function if it makes a difference
Docker for Desktop is not free anymore. Thoughts? Will your project / firm replace it? And if you replace it, what are your plans?
What's everyone hoping to get for Christmas? I got my present early: five months of billable work to start off 2016.
Hello, I started daring this guy about 7 months Ago. He has been amazing to say the least. I was sick for about 2 weeks, he took care of me, literally, managed meds, Dr. visits, food etc, all that while during his busy season ( Auditor at PWC) . I want to give him a gift but I have no idea... Help ?
So many mixed signals. One week they are obsessed and following MIA for an entire week. So over it.
I’m fully remote for 2 years now. More productive than ever. Present for my family like never before. Have met more people from my company than I would’ve if I’d rely only on bumping into them. Have a much more focused, open and dynamic creative process with my teams. My company doubled size. Why would anyone consider going to a physical place to do work that’s delivered digitally ever again, even if for a day per year?
Rolling off a project. Anyone have some local Washington DC area roles or remote or low travel to NYC ... ping ! Staffit sucks
Hello. I’m working on H1B and recently got a promotion. My company is amending my H1B and told me that since my new job is remote I can only work at my apartment (since it’s my legal location). Is there any chance they can figure out I’m working remotely from somewhere else? Also, I’m also in the process of applying for green card (thru employment). Does anyone know the timeline for this given my H1B is getting amended ? (My country has no waiting time).
Did you transfer your 401k from your ex-employer to your current employer? If not, what did you do with it? I’m so lost. It’s my first time switching jobs. I have money in my spending account too. How should I spend it in the last 2 weeks?
I’m not much of a conspiracy theorist, but am I the only person who thinks the mass publication of the Omicron variant by the media was due to traditionally low viewership during the holidays? It seems like the Media wants to dictate COVID’s trajectory & demise to align with their business strategy. As overall viewership falls in a post-Trump era and waning COVID numbers, big media has to be a little nervous about audience retention.
Saw exited out being used. Coached out is already neutral enough. Just interesting that we don't call it what it is. Released, fired, let go
What kind of culture is considered as toxic? I just started in a big firm but observed some partners tend to like incompetent “gunners” who brag about experiences and kiss ass. I am introvert and already don’t feel motivated to participate in conversations. Any tips to navigate this?
Partners/seniors/mid-levels - how do you decide the type of assignments you give to juniors? When I get an assignment to “take a stab” at something I’ve never done before, what are you expecting??
Happy to have just received my promotion to senior manager after a very challenging year, backed by an even more challenging year prior. I've got my own beliefs what a senior manager does, or should do. I'm keen to hear transition challenges others have gone through when becoming a senior manager.
I am interviewing for companies i am not interested in just for practice. At what point do I let them know i am not interested? After final round? After getting an offer?
