What are some exit options for tech M&A consulting?

If you are looking to pivot to another industry but are still working in your old career, do you change your LinkedIn profile to reflect your goal career? I'm in Real Estate Sales and looking to pivot to SaaS Sales or Customer Success.

I saw some sales managers discussing hiring strategies, especially for entry level roles (e.g. SDR, BDR).

One strategy that came up was having the applicant do 90 minutes of cold calling into real prospects with the hiring manager coaching.

What do you think of this approach? Would be curious to hear from both hiring manager perspectives and from candidate perspectives.

My law school experience has built heavily around bankruptcy and tax. I’ve been interested in pursuing a tax LLM. Doing corporate bankruptcy now. Admittedly I like both fields. Can anyone share some insight and/or advice for pursuing the LLM?

How many years did it take you to go from earning 500k to 1M? YOE? Role before and after? Did it include a firm change?

Any advice for someone wanting to jump from consulting to the Blockchain / crypto ecosystem? Preferably within BD roles as I'm assuming it's the most plausible transition?

Do you have to have an MBA to get a job at Big4? I'm trying to get into Deloitte.

I have my masters in nursing/FNP (1 yr) making <K70 (Indiana) due to low patient census in my role. No desire for a different FNP job nor to return to bedside nursing (RN 5 yrs). I have heard of some individuals with remote positions making >K100 with little to no experience in tech or consulting after doing a boot camp or cert?

I’m currently in the process of being converted from contractor to permanent. In my initial conversations I was under the impression that I was in a different pay grade and asked for a salary 25k higher than the max allotted for my position. I feel like it gave the impression that I don’t know what I’m doing. Any suggestion how I can recover from this?
