What are some of the Deloitte policies that aren’t shown in the offer letter. Can you get personal phone reimbursement? Do you have to use a corporate credit card or are you able to get points, etc? What else are people’s favorite benefits?

1. You can but most don’t convert their personal because it essentially becomes Deloitte property. Firm will may for a cellphone + monthly expenses.
2. Use of corporate amex is preferred. Sometimes people incur charges on their personal and submit a manual reimbursement.

What do you mean becomes their property? They can take your phone?

To clarify, while the Firm will technically own your number, it is VERY easy to get back when you leave and take number with you. There is a standard form and it happens all the time.

@OP - not a "scam". Pretty standard setup for corporate phone accounts. In fact, looking at industry policies, B4 tend to have some of the best in terms of flexibility and covering costs. It's not required, but at a certain level there will be an expectation of being able to be reached and you might just find it convenient (particularly when travel starts again).

What service line ?

Monitors , docks etc

What’s the general guidance on the order to maximize retirement contributions for tax benefits for an normal individual and for a self employed/small business owner before moving to taxable accounts or alternate vehicles like cash value life policies?
I’ve seen for individual: match trad 401k->match roth 401k->max roth IRA->max trad IRA->max trad 401k->max roth 401k->max HSA
For self employed: max SEP IRA/solo 401k->max roth IRA->max trad IRA->max HSA

Of course situations differ but in general?

I’ve done PI work my entire career for over 10 years. I’ve worked in state and federal courts and I’ve traveled around the country doing MDL work and bellwether trials. I am the junior attorney at a small PI firm (5 lawyers). I love my job and my firm, the partners, and my colleagues.

I have another opportunity that is important to me, so I'm planning to step away.

I have maybe 10-15 lit cases that I'm "responsible" for. Some of them are tar babies that I know the partners and my colleagues would hate taking over, but I don't think I'm willing to wait for resolution on them either. Thoughts?

I wonder why the partners even not bothered to interview me. If it matters, I am a CPA with 3 years non-PA experience and applied for experienced associate positions. I appreciate any insights.
