Ask them about their last 3 offers that they made as a buying agent, and what they suggested to their clients to stand out.
Ask how many of their offers were accepted in the last 3 or 6 months.
Ask what their experience is in the specific neighborhoods that you’re targeting.
Ask if they think the budget you are targeting is sufficient for the neighborhood and attributes you are targeting in your search.
Ask how they prefer to communicate (email, text, phone, etc.)
And you can also ask for some buyer agent credit
Oh wow… asking an agent/broker to give you some of the commission in a first conversation is definitely an option. However I think it best to focus on how well they can meet your needs as a buyer. Knowing about previous transactions is a great idea, but sometimes having representation who can give you the time and attention you need may come more from dedication than recent past experiences in a volatile market.
