No! I would not be working in this industry if my spouse didn’t bring a fixed steady income!
Nurse - would be in the industry either way. It’s great that she has a flexible schedule like me - it allows us to live our life at our own pace. Want to travel for 2weeks or a month, we can do it. Great professions for us to be able to make those decisions.
We work together... I do most of the sales... he does the portfolio management. We also are both EA's
I network with husband if it is a neutral event. We were invited to a ymca fundraiser and we attended together. He’s an engineer so not sure it would work. Because he’s not in industry he doesn’t understand after hours appointments or the occasional Saturday appt. He would drive me crazy!
She’s an occupational therapist. I would be in this industry but year 1-3 would have been a bigger struggle. The extra income definitely relieved some stress albeit part time income.
Spouse is attorney. Would not be in industry without her stead income (and emotional support too). Started in mid-2007 and market went straight down for 18 months. Oh, and company problems with Wachovia as an added delight.
Wife is a High School Coach. They get paid less than minimum wage!
Needless to say she doesn't add a penny to the household so YES, I could do this profession with out her.
