Would appreciate any input/advice on my financial situation. 26M, current have a net worth of ~ $70k and recently finished paying off $33k in student loans. Net worth is split between $34k in my 401k (originally started contributing to it 4 years ago on a pre tax basis but for the last three years it’s been all Roth 401k, currently contributing 12%), $22k in cash/CDs (wanted to build up an emergency fund), $15k in Roth IRA which i maxes out for the first time in 2019 (5k of that is cash tho),
Do any of the Big 4 offer reimbursement for professional association dues? Not CPA or AICPA but personal stuff like a young professional networking group for accountants? Or industry specific group?
PwC fish, how many years does it take the combination of the wealth builder and 401k match to effectively equal the 6% match that other firms offer comparatively right out of the gate?
How to protect my high stress and soulless income from tax besides 401k and having a million kids. Preferably passive income strategies. Pls &thx
Delta frequent fliers: I just hit 💎 and am looking at the Choice Benefits. Will the Regional Upgrade Certificates still be useful post-April when Delta One transcon. flights become upgrade eligible?
Would be nice if WPP spent less money mailing brochures to their own employees about benefits and more on the actual benefits. Secondly, didn't WPP pledge to become more environmentally friendly?
I left EY last year and is now considering rolling over my 401k balance left in the EY plan to my IRA. Just realized that my vested balance was lower than the balance Fidelity has been showing (cont.)
23YO, saved 90K, 70k salary, been working for 1 year. Started investing in crypto and stocks a few months ago, maxing out 401k and Roth IRA. Any advice for investment or saving strategy?
Can anyone at CohnReznick tell me what types of benefits/perks they offer beyond health insurance and retirement plans? For example, PwC gives employees 40 hours of CPA study time per year, Calm subscription, Gympass, BrainFM, etc. Thanks!
Name legitimate benefits for getting married. Not love or companionship or it changes things.. I’ve asked many and most people don’t have any beside shared health insurance- not cynical, curious
Just started my career and looking for advice. Other than putting money into my 401k what opportunities should I be looking at? I live for free so I have a decent amount of money.
Does it make sense to make your full 401k contribution in January (assuming you have the cash already)?
Any perspectives on 401k rollovers? Started a new job. Is it best to rollover into the new employer 401k. Stay put with past employer plan Or rollover all or a portion of my savings into an IRA?
Anyone at TBWA I could send a resume to for a FT gig? Just broke into planning as a freelancer and heard you take juniors. Or anywhere else, really 😊 gotta get back on that 401k to make my mom proud
It's been 4 years in consulting performing data analytics, I wish to consider options in some data analytic tech companies. Suggestions? Or Recommendations of a good company with data analytics role?
FWIW, don't waste your time with Wayfair, horrible process and disorganized company. Multiple interviews and they refused to discuss seniority of position or comp. Am I allowed to short the stock?
What's it like being an analytics consultant for Fico? Is it a role for recent graduates typically?
I’ve got a bachelor’s in Economics (4.0 bby) but I’ve been stuck in PMO roles the last few years. I feel like I was dumb for not doing something more STEM related like computer science during undergrad. Seems like there’s no Econ jobs that don’t also require comp sci knowledge. Maybe I just don’t know how to market myself with an Econ only degree? Feels like I need at least a masters to do anything with Econ without the comp sci part. Should I just learn a programming language lol
What do you say when recruiters ask what your current salary is? Tell the truth, lie or handle the question differently?
How long did it take you from on-site to getting your package submitted to the hiring committee at Google?
Questions to ask when you’re starting a new project? (ex: team norms? communication schedule? charge code?)
Guys, if you have almost 1800 client charged hours can you just say you want to be unassigned and don't want to work 70+ hours a week? Or at least want to have 40 hours a week
Dumb question (maybe) but if I bought a RT ticket for the sake of doing a mileage run for airline status, do I need to actually be present and fly the two segments to get the miles added to my account
About to finish up getting my MBA and am considering moving forward with Lockheed in FL. With 3.5 years of B4 Consulting experience, what salary should I negotiate? Business analyst style position.
Is there a Delta program that gives me status based on another status? Like Marriott Platinum leads to United Silver
Has anyone recently moved from Deloitte US to Canada. I have an offer from Deloitte Canada and want to understand if the compensation offered is fair. I am a 3rd year SC for reference.
23 YO Deloitte Analyst: I’m debating between a 1 year or 2 year graduate program next year, I’d want to go full time but worried about sacrificing a salary for up to 2 years. Has anyone been through this and could give me some advice?
Is it advisable to move from Deloitte USDC to PWC tech advisory practice as an exit level manager with a considerable raise and joining bonus - as there would be no significant base hike or bonuses for the next two years? Thoughts or factors to consider
