What are the exit opportunities of M & A PMO and post merger integration work at big four?

This was me. Deloitte out of undergrad. MBA/GSAP. Back to D. Made Manager. Never thought about leaving, but had a few recruiters on LinkedIn pinging. I always entertain them, if not only to potentially negotiate a raise. Ended up really liking one of the opportunities and took it.

New role is an executive position at a small and growing PE portfolio company working directly for the CEO and reporting to the PE owners (who went to the same MBA coincidentally). The role is to lead the company’s M&A strategy. I started earlier this year, and since then we’ve acquired 2 companies and are looking to acquire a third by end of the year. Standard private equity portfolio add on M&A...hoping 1+1=3 every time you do an acquisition. I’ve learned a ton in the new role working for the CEO and with the PE firm.

like

That's the key... Keep your options open. You'll probably have a few good exit opportunities, you need to be looking for them. Great going M2, that's quite a catch!

like

I am consistently recruited for transformation office roles and I’ve had a few recruiters reach out for PE ops type roles. I have xfunctional experience in change management, target op models, org design, and talent for reference. No DD. If you become a functional SME (finance, IT, HR) you will also have roads into those back office functions as well.

like

Program management experience, and operating model, and change management are all part of strategic transformations or reorgs

We’re about to open a job req for a director level M&A integration role. DM me if interested.

You still looking for someone?

Hoping better exit ops than DD’s

As long as you mix ITDD with post deal PMO every now and then you should be able to land Product Management / Consultant roles at tech organizations

Can anyone from nagarro please check if opening still there for Drupal or not?

like

I have joined Nagarro almost a year now as a senior architect. However, I see lot of issues here. The company is great so far as employee friendliness is concerned. It may be rated as the top most company in that regard and that is why attrition is well within control. However, there are issues:

1. Project Allocation - allocated to projects without fitment with the role or skills. No internal job portal

2. Lots of seniors in bench for long time

3. No way to give company feedback

Hey everyone. I found out we are expecting our first child and I’m really nervous. I got into consulting one year ago and I’m up for promotion this year. With timing of our performance conversations I would have to inform I’m pregnant before outcomes - then shortly after the promotion effective date I would go on a leave for due date. I’ve worked really hard and I’m worried our wonderful news will throw chances with this :(- also if I don’t get promoted pretty sure it’s up or out. Any advice?

I have a partner who routinely ignores emails or responds to them several weeks later. He has to approve every single document sent to the client or the court, which means you have a physically go to his office to ask him to review something. Half of the time you go to meet with him in person, he’s either on a call or otherwise busy. I find that this basically creates more work and makes meeting deadlines extremely difficult. Is this normal?

Recruiter for big tech company reached out on LinkedIn about a role. I asked about ballpark compensation numbers and they said they’re only comfortable sharing on a live call. Replied that I often receive LinkedIn offers for roles of paycuts around 30-50% so I want to make sure we’re in the same rough range. Recruiter again said she would only share via live call. Is this a red flag?

hi all, currently have two offers:

1: EY - FDD, home city, very good $$ for FDD

2: PwC - post-merger integration, DDV team (essentially M&A Consulting) - bigger city, always been keen to move

Coming as a Senior in Audit, with recent FDD exposure (2 deals, obviously not much). I was looking for something more than just number crunching, wanting a mix of quant / quali / strategic work. M&A Advisory or a Corp Strategy role is where I'm looking to end up long term.

Thanks in advance!
