What type of rewards do you want?
Mainly cash back. I have discover with the rotating 5% categories but on quarters it’s not groceries I don’t make much back
Do you have an Amazon prime or Costco membership?
Gotcha, some banks have extra perks if you have an account and their card but don’t think Ally is one of them. I think you’ve got 3 clear choices, (1) the above Amex, (2) the Wells Fargo
Active Cash Card which is just a flat 2% across the board and has cell phone insurance if you use the card to pay your cell phone bills which can be a nice perk or (3) the BJ’s One+ card with Capital one which is 5% cash back at BJs, 2% cash back everything else, and 15 cents off per gallon gas at BJs. The only catch is I think your rewards can only be redeemed at BJs for the last card but if you use BJs pretty often and see yourself staying a member then maybe that’s worth it. Let me know what you end up choosing.
