Hi all,
Do firms match offers from other Big 4s for campus hires? I’ve received a campus offer from both KPMG and EY. I’m more interested in the EY offer, but they are paying 3k less than KPMG.
Would it be a bad move to let them know about the other offer and try negotiating? I feel it wont make a difference in the long run, but at the same time I don’t want to leave any money on the table if possible.
Thanks!

Mentally, it’s exhausting. We keep working as if nothing is happening in the world around us. Between COVID and dealing with systemic racism and micro-aggressions in the workplace and seeing people that look like me being shot and suffocated like wild animals in the streets...
We sacrifice our mental health all in the name of client service.
Like Jezzy said, “I need a vacation!”
PwC gives us a protest and social service hours allotment.
I don't think any of us would be fired for protesting especially not now
Yeah 40hours for the year. Which is still something
I think you would be better off focusing on being fully engaged and doing a good job at work each day. You will be far more likely to improve your position this way.
Somebody get this cop out of here lmao.
Ok but on a serious note, I am working hard and fully engaged and utilized. I love my work- and I am grateful for the opportunity to be at Deloitte, but the concern is not about my personal position, it’s about the condition/position of black people in this country, and doing something for our community with our privilege. Botham Jean worked at PWC when he was shot in his own home by a cop who is currently trying to fight her conviction and say it was self defense. I know that the Big 4 firms can do more to support this cause against police brutality. Putting our heads down at work and pretending this isn’t happening is not acceptable. We should be supported by employers as they have themselves admitted that this is a race issue.
I understand what you’re saying, it is unfair that it should fall on us to catalyze change when the Big 4 monolith could easily drive this, but they won’t do it unless they realize the value we bring. And we can’t bring the same level of value if we’re hurting and dealing with racism, fear, and anger on a daily basis.

Very well said OP. I feel the same way. Not only should we be focusing on our work to show them we add value, but we cannot forget everyone else that isn't as fortunate. It's a burden, but we must bear it.

I think it’s a step to the right direction. I am not sure why it took that long though...

We're scared to, because we can't afford it and we know we're insignificant to our employees.
Some major organization needs to organize a boycott/peaceful protest of some kind. We might not be able to not work, but there's got to be some other way to convey the pain we're going through.
I've thought of blacking out my work picture. Remaining completely silent on calls and only communicating via chat or email as a sign of protest.
Those are probably not the best ideas, but I think we need to brainstorm something soon.
