20%. Best raises.
I got a 3.5% merit raise last year, but depending on what you do, how you hit your goals on Workday, it’s super open-ended.
If you happen to get a strategic sale on a net-new contract, or add to an existing contract, you can ask up to 15%, and your Principal will probably green light it. (They will look in CRM, and see what it’s worth.) Sometimes your raise will mean you also have to get promoted in order to make the title fit the money.

This was super helpful to see. Thanks OP!

Ok I am the sourest of sour pusses, the tail-less of Eeyores, and the gloomiest of Gusses, and even I can say it totally depends. Depends on your performance, your contract, your team’s performance, and your SA. Last year I had a great year and asked for a large % and would have gotten it but someone else also had a great year, asked for a large %, and that person was WAY under market. I was fairly at market. The contract couldn’t absorb both raises. That person got theirs. I have gotten 4% to 18% in my 15 years here. But you can also get MSAs out of cycle so don’t fret your annual. ;)
Commercial side gets annual bonus (all levels) minus last year
Depends on merit and account/contract, I’ve constantly gotten around 10%
Beginning of our fiscal year 4/1

Was at BAH for 10 years, never got less than 4%
Along the lines of this…3% is firm average but if you are a high performer and your work is visible to your leadership it will be higher.
I had a terrible career manager when I started with BAH and he didn’t understand my role on my delivery team. First few raises were 1-2%.
Next career manager had better line of sight into what I was performing for work and the impact of all the other activities I’m involved in and hasn’t been less than 5% for the last 5 years sprinkled in with 2 promos and 2 separate MSAs.
I don’t think I gave one less than 5% last year. Typically 3.5-6% for non-promotion years
Does this come at your hire date every year or at another specific time?

April 1 (start of the FY) if you start after Jan 1, it’s unlikely (though not impossible) that you’ll get a raise that April.
Not great in general, if it depends on team equity which is probably where a majority of this question is geared towards. Probably somewhere around 1-3% with 1 being for newer people and 3 for semi experienced
Interesting. Both answers are polar opposites lmao
I was just joking. The first person is 100% correct. Our GPS practice does not give huge raises, more so 1-4%. I got 2% as a new hire. You can also request an MSA if you believe you are paid low. The team may possibly give you a market salary raise.
Remember - you want to be paid well, but you also want to be paid where you can be staffed on contracts, and not be too expensive.
I started with the firm in NMC account in March 2019
2020 - 3%
2021 - 2%
2022 switched account to JCC
2022 - 4%
Just received a 10% MSA
A lot has to do with your contract and ceiling
