What does it feel like to be on bench as a vice president

Are ppl worried about being on the bench esp when there aren’t a lot of projects in the pipeline? New hire here about to be up for staffing for the first time and sentiment at my firm seems to be worried/fearful about being unstaffed. Is it actually worrisome to be on the bench in this environment or is this just a product of highly ambitious over achievers worrying about not being constantly utilized?

I have been on bench since I joined the firm 3 months ago. Now I have got project but still on bench. I have got mail regarding not raising snapshots because I was on bench so i didn't do anything except trainings and some learning. I don't have hours to raise snapshot for.

What shall I do in this case? I am very much worried that if i don't have any project hours to show, will they fire me or what actions are supposed to be taken ? Thanks.

MBA/MS from the USA

Just like every other guy, it’s my dream to settle in the USA or any equivalent location. My problem is that I am not confident enough. I started preparing for CAT, failed miserably. I was demotivated. My job started paying me good money so I blindly upskilled myself technically. It’s been a while. I am not sure if my company can send me abroad and hence I am planning to go for MS or MBA. Continued in the comments.

Next Friday is my LWD at TCS, and this is my first switch, Its making very nervous and at the same time I am scared what if I will not find the people in the new company...like I found in my current organisation....my mentor in TCS has helped me so much in initial weeks and guided me whenever required, I will be joining other organisation in next week, and have no idea in which project I will be working, and how will I survive there, is it normal to feel like this?
