Yeah, I thought that too. Thanks for the sanity check, PwC1. To my mind they are expanding into low margin, commoditized spaces. If they were building differentiated, high margin cyber capabilities then that would be a different story. At this early point in my career I’m willing to sacrifice comp for an awesome client base and industry leading subject matter expertise
Middle market doesn’t buy CTI unless it’s as a managed service - speaking generally. Protiviti would be smart to buy a small MSSP and scale. Can be a cash cow when done right, plus once you have the platform it’s a very scalable model
Depends a lot on what you do now and want to do in the future.
Like doing risk / audit type work for middle market? That’s Protiviti’s bread and butter.
Cyber threat intelligence for Fortune 50 clients... not so much. However, apparently they are trying to change that
Sounds like an adjacent offering as a part of enterprise risk management though.
