What is the best kind of consulting to switch too from big 4 audit? I’m at EY right now but looking to potentially make a switch into consulting in the next year. I still enjoy the finance side of things but not sure what kind of consulting still involved mostly finance/accounting

Hi all, right now I have a summer internship at a mid tier firm for this summer 2021. How is the switch from going from a mid tier internship and to getting a big 4 job offer? I think I would definitely like to work at a big 4, I graduate in 2022.

Which Big 4 has the least layoffs right now on the West Coast? If so, why? More clients, hired just enough, realistic goals, etc...?

I got an offer for a Healthcare risk management role. I'm a BA but this role is more like an SC level. The salary jump is 50% more than what I'm making.

However the company is really tiny. Nobody has ever heard of it, and it's not a startup so I doubt there'll be any growth.

Do you think it's worth making the jump? I was only at Deloitte for 9 months.

Also do you think I have the possibility of returning to B4 or ever going to FAANG in the future?

Hi EY GDS Fishes - Need your thoughts on EY GDS joining with 30LPA (inclusive bonus) with Manager 1 position for 14+ YOE. Need to understand for this YOE, Manager 1 is the right fit or is there any chance to negotiate with HR for Manager 2 or 3 ? If not, what are the chances of progressing to 2 or 3 like mandate years to be in the same rank ? Holding other offers with Wipro, Nagarro & IGT with higher CTC than EY GDS...Is it good to accept offer from EYGDS considering WLB, Job security n Big 4..

I’m in my 1st year in a UK government procurement role and would ideally like to move into the private sector within the next 2 years due to the salary, which is very decent for now but gets worse comparatively as you progress. I’m not sure what I could move into though, does anyone have any experience moving from public to private sector? I’ve been browsing Big 4 gov consulting roles for example, but I’m not sure what level I would even need to apply at once I’ve got 1-2 years experience

What are some good question to ask interviewers? I have an interview with one of the big 4 and haven't had an interview in ages, so I'm a bit rusty. Most of the suggestion I'm getting are stuff which can easily be answered by having a look at the company's website. I don't want to come off as if I haven't done my research by asking such questions.

Pls help! I’m updating my resume with the hopes of leaving the firm in the spring. How do I go about including the industries that I’ve worked in and that I’ve been on IPOs? Currently a staff 2 (started in the summer of 2019) and I’ve been on a total of 4 busy seasons and then the 2 IPOs. And then 4 days later hiring manager sets up a phone conversation letting me know they still have other finalist they are interviewing and will let me know when t they make a decision. I really wanted this job and now idk if I’ll even get it. But my question, why would she verify my references and not offer me the job!is that normal ? This never happened to me before 😞
