What is the best way to pass audit CPA exam? Should I just practice all the multiple choice questions included in the Becker?

Yep like SA1 said, everyone’s different. For me, I hammered MCQs for REG and BEC until I wanted to die but read and tried to understand more for FAR and AUD. Depends how you work best but you can never go wrong hammering MCQs

like

I only did MCQs, no lectures or reading. Just hammer them and read why answers are right or wrong and write that down.

like

This! I only needed 1/3 of the time once I adopted this method. Pound MCQ’s and hand write notes regardless to help commit to memory. Then, if you notice you missed 2-3 in a row and didn’t grasp the concept, dive into the lecture/video for that specific item. IMO, no point in watching lectures and reading items you already understand.

The way I finally passed was reading the chapters and answering every question multiple times. So much so that by the time I took the exam I felt like I had every detail memorized in that book

All four of the CPA exams are exams you pass by hammering questions. You beat them by sheer force. They’re a cake walk compared to the Series 7

likefunny

Not true @E2. Look at the pass rates

don’t do it. Too hard

like

practice some sims and the way they make you think, sims failed me the times I failed audit, I always did well on the MCQs

1) Answer the MCQs until you answer a significant majority correctly (80%+). DO NOT GUESS.
2) Review/Study any MCQs that you didn't know the answer using the book/lectures.

Just want to cry out here.🙃

I'm not good at my tech stack. I've somehow managed to perform all my tasks without any escalation/blunders but that also by some help/googling.
I also managed to switch from an Indian mnc to a reputed company and now also somehow cleared a FAANG interview, but i know I'm not much knowledgeable in my tech .

I often fail at some interviews badly.
Not sure till when I'll be able to carry forward by this and the hard wlb at FAANG companies is giving me a fear.

Hi there. Ex Deloitte Sr Mgr here, currently in tech pre sales (SaaS / MarTech). Recently spoke to both Salesforce and Adobe recruiters for roles that I thought were lateral moves (Sr SA / Sr SC), therefore I did not proceed with the selection process. The recruiters from both companies told me they typically hire at that level, and people are considered for promotion to Principal in 1 to 2 years. I found that odd. Is that right? What’s the typical TC for SAs and SCs there? (15+ yrs exp).

I applied for a job at Visa and was contacted the same day. A few days later I had a 30-minute screening interview with the hiring manager. I knew I was very early in the process since the job had only been posted for a few days. It's been 3 weeks and I haven't heard back, even after reaching out to the recruiter. Have I been ghosted or is there still hope? Does anyone at Visa have insights? Looks like there are a ton of jobs posted so maybe they are just backed up?

Anyone hiring those who have been out of work for a year? I took time off to tend to personal matters, but I am now looking to get back into the workforce again. My previous experience includes time at B4 audit up to senior level and then transitioned to manager in industry. Senior/manager roles are preferred.

I don’t mind audit. However, I’d prefer it not to be at a B4, as I am looking for some semblance of a work life balance.

DM me if you have something above, thanks.
