Digital interview process ?
I had an interview w/ the Hiring Manager at Boston Consulting Group for a position and it went so well that the HM said on the spot I was going to be moving onto the next round. Its been weeks since that interview & I've had to follow up w/ the recruiter 3x asking for an update. I mentioned interviewing elsewhere but prioritizing BCG. He finally responded to that saying he was going to debrief with the HM and get back to me but nothing... what gives?

There was an article someone posted that the best way to negotiate is phrasing it as if you offered xyz, I would definitely accept. You can also say why (you have another offer with higher pay but you are more passionate about this position, so if you can offer me $x I would love to accept)
Communicate verbally. Should not show offer letter. Pretty sure there's an NDA attached.
I was on the receiving end of such a candidate. Key is to be very professional about your expectations, decide quickly, and once you do, let the respective recruiters and managers know what you are deciding and why.
Consulting is a small world. Best to keep all ootions and bridges open!
Not a recruiter, was one of the interview panel. We're a small practice, so involved in all stages including reviewing why somebody is saying "No".
Just to put in context. I've negotiated a 20k bonus and a 30k bump and new title before... and never had to share I had another offer. But if you need to say that you have another offer then you should. But don't make it about the other company... make it about the market value for your skill set.
Thanks EY1. Assuming you are a recruiter based on your response. The offer I'd prefer (based on team/role) came in 10k-15k lower than the other offer. Would it be fair to tell the recruiter that if you beat or even match the offer, I'd take it?
Thanks P1
Be honest and state your reasons for wanting the extra $$$. Different things motivate different people. No need to show the letter if you are open about it. Tell them the amount you want and say this is what it would take for you to make the jump. If they can do it and want you. They will give it to you.
