What is the hierarchy in Google for the strategy roles - I recently applied and got rejected for the Head of Strategy and Operations, Google customer solutions. Seems I didn’t have enough experience. I have earlier interviewed for Strategy and Ops - Manager role, made it to R2 and got derailed due to Covid. Now I have applied to Product Strategy Lead (which JD says is suitable for EMs transitioning to tech). Is Lead above Manager? What does lead even mean?

I am a 2nd year associate at a plaintiff’s firm specializing in toxic tort cases (individual). I’ve had the opportunity to be third chair on a trial, and will likely be second chair in an upcoming trial. However, given the track record of the firm and the amount of money at stake in each case, I am afraid I won’t get any first chair experience, if any, for at least another 5-7 years. I am considering staying at the firm but trying to get trial experience through side Pro Bono work. Thoughts?

For the one year of work experience requirement to get CPA license in CO, when did you qualify? Do they just do 1 year from DOH or do you need to have charged 1,800 hours of client work?

What is your understanding of the norms around whose names end up on a brief/complaint/motion papers etc.? I’m a midlevel at an AmLaw 20 firm and have twice been the principal drafter of something only to be cut from the signature block. The associate senior to me is on it despite having done far less of the work. And it’s not because it required a rewrite or something. The filed product is 80-90% my work.
