I interviewed with them 2.5 years ago. I had a recruiter call and shortly after one short interview with the partner and got the offer the same day. Whole process took less than a few days. Job was not as described (they lied to me big time) and I was out before the end of week 7. I know people who’ve had great experiences there, just not me. Good luck!

Thanks for the honesty.
PWC 1 - there are pros and cons of working for Big 4 vs. other national firms. You just have to decide what you want.
Staff Accountant - interview and decision processes should not be more than a 2 week timeline. I have been very honest with experienced recruits regarding expected hours (2400-2500 total) and what types of industries they will be working. Each office could have different industry focus or specialties. This is a question you should ask about.

The interviewers have been very upfront about my questions/concerns. I am mainly trying to figure out how Crowe's process works.
In the past I've met with the Controller or Partner and moved from there to the offer. This time I'm going for another set of partner interviews. I'm just not used to that and unaware of whether more interviews will follow.
On my first set of interviews I was told I would hear back from them within a day or two. And I did, but to schedule more interviews.
Would anyone ever take a job at a mid major moving from a bigger firm?

EY 1, what service line? I'm looking at a 60% increase to get out of audit. I've put some time to that service line, but never year round, so a bit hesitant. You can DM if you feel more comfortable that way.
I came over from another firm and the process took maybe 1.5 weeks from my first call with the recruiter to getting my offer from them. I only had one round of interviews with 2 people. Happy to answer any questions you have.

Thanks, I'll message you.
Similar to Crowe 1. The whole thing was about a week; call with recruiter which I got by, they scheduled my in office interview the following week, it was with 2 partners 45min each, had the offer the same day.
Pros: I got a 20% pay increase for Senior at Crowe than I made in Big4. Crowe paid me a Big4 manager salary. On top they offered a ~$8k signing bonus. They also offered unlimited wfh, but this was pre-pandemic of course.
Cons: It's not as good on the resume, you're more in the details of the work than at Big4 (this may be pandemic/wfh related with staff training gaps, so maybe I'm wrong), fees are smaller so budgets are tighter, and the resulting billing is a PITA vs Big4.
If I had to do it again, I wouldn't.
You only get once chance to leave Big4, and you've worked hard for the opportunity. Use it to leave public for the best role you can get. Going to Crowe has hurt my future prospects more than its helped, and it's still Public Accounting so it's still loathesome work.
Could not agree more with everything you said. If I could go back I probably wouldn’t have come here.

Thanks for the insight, I can see how it can impact exit ops.
