We are in the middle of reorganizing, which will include significant layoffs. Outside of that, if the culture stays intact, I really love it here. As you can see, and likely feel at WF too, almost all banks are going through transition to keep up with the quickly changing regulatory and financial environment.
Overall, IMO, once we get the through this, any openings that come up in late Q4 and beyond will be great opportunities to grow in your career with a great company.
I had from my friend who works @ Truist that they are in middle of layoffs now.
From everyone I know that left BOA over the years and went to Wells, they either all have come back or are currently regretting the decision to leave and want to come back. I don’t know truist culture, but from the rep wells has, anywhere has to be better.
I am about to start with Truist in the audit space. My answer is TBD but everyone I have communicated with have been very nice/helpful. Great benefits (there’s a page online you can review). You do have to pay for parking unfortunately.. so the light rail will be my best friend
I love Charlotte though. The city still needs some work (gentrification/handling crime). It’s growing so fast and lots of construction! It’s a foodie city with lots of activities. So many new restaurants, small businesses, and wellness spaces popping up
Hi, I just found your post as I'm interviewing with Truist. What has your experience been like?
I left BOA for Wells and it has been wonderful. Generally, I think it depends on the manager and team at most companies. There are things I like and dislike between the two banks, but I’ve found my fit with my current team.
I worked at BOA, then Chase. Since the pandemic, I have been working at Wells. It's been great. BoA had South Asian only teams, where nobody else could get hired.
